This page is being added to our website at the end of January 2006.  Where in
the world have we been since October???  Well, between the two of us, in
November and December, we  traveled a lot of miles....but the motor home didn't
move.  We also had some major computer problems that are still not totally
resolved.

We had arrived at our winter home, Palm Creek Golf and RV Resort in Casa
Grande, Arizona, during the last week in October.  The weather was great and we
got right back into the routine of bridge, golf and tennis and visiting with friends
as they arrived from around the US and Canada.  The park management threw a
big "Welcome Back" party to start of the season with a bang!  However, almost
as soon as we were organized and "back in the groove," Tom found himself in
Oakland, CA doing one of his Head Start reviews.  As soon as he returned, Mary
flew to Ohio.  Our daughter was scheduled for surgery and Mary was hired on as
babysitter for our three granddaughters as well as housekeeper, cook, chauffer,
school volunteer, Girl Scout chaperone, homework monitor, etc.  Her stay lasted
17 days and included Thanksgiving.  Highlights of her trip included going to a
Christmas performance of the granddaughter's dance classes and helping put
up the Christmas tree, but the best part was just being there to read stories and
play games with the girls.  Tom's Thanksgiving was celebrated Arizona style,
outdoors on the patio at the home of a friend.  He also had another auto
adventure with the Olds when it quit running in a shopping center parking lot and
once again needed a tow truck.  This time it was the ignition, fixed after another
day at the GM dealer.  But, just to keep his stress level up, Tom managed to
"crash" three laptop computers in two weeks...his to the point of no return, so he
ordered a new one; then Mary's while awaiting the new arrival; and then the new
arrival.  The new one and Mary's are now up and running again, but not without
some stress and effort (another reason that our webpage was late being
updated)!!  Since Mary was still away in early December, Tom took another Head
Start trip to San Antonio, TX. (more air miles!!)
By December 8 we were both back at Palm Creek...enjoying the sunshine and
getting some Christmas shopping done.  Then on December 22 we both flew
to Ohio for the Christmas holidays.  The first week of our trip was spent in
Marysville with our daughter and her family.  Santa was good to all of us and
we enjoyed being with them.  The second week of our trip we headed to the
Toledo area.  There we had some appointments and were able to visit with
more family and a few friends.  Ann, Matt and the three girls came to Toledo
one day and all of us went to Jackson, Michigan to visit with Mary's mom and
step-father...then back to Toledo to visit with Tom's mom...a busy and fun-filled
day.  Our son, Reid, called from Costa Rica one evening, and we were excited
to hear some of his adventures living and working in his new exotic location.
New Year's Eve was spent with our good friends Kathy and Dennie Dew...its
hard to believe that in the last 38 years, we've spent 36 New Year's Eves with
them!!!!

Mary got to help the girls decorate the Christmas tree
in Ohio...something we don't have room for in the RV.
On Christmas Eve, the girls and
Daddy put out food for the reindeer
and cookies for Santa and helped
Grandpa squeeze oranges for juice
on Christmas morning.
