Our first outing for the summer of 2000 was to attend the Spring
International Rally of the Bounders of America...The Gettysburg Get-Away in
York, PA from May 6 to 12. We were one of 243 Bounders parked in the
infield of the York Fairgrounds Convention and Expo Center.
Over Memorial Day weekend we were among the 1014 rigs at the Family
Motor Coach Association Great Lakes Area Spring Spree held at the
Berrien County Fairgrounds in Berrien Springs, Michigan.
During the summer we attended various weekend rallys with our friends in
the Pioneer and M.O.B. chapters of Bounders of America and with the Great
Lake-A-Roos of Bounders United.....hosting our own rally Sept. 28-Oct.1 at
Maumee Bay State Park.
We also attended "Millineum Madness", the national rally of Bounders
United in Hamburg, NY Sept. 12-17. There were over 250 Bounders at the
Erie County Fairgrounds near Niagara Falls.
On September 22 we were in Columbus, OH to help welcome our third
granddaughter into the world. Merrick Ann weighed 7 lbs, 7 oz. and was 19
inches long. Coffey and Close are proud big sisters.
At Buckeye Lake, OH on the weekend of October 20-22 we became charter
member of the new "Buckeye Bounders" chapter of Bounders United.
As Thanksgiving approaches we are making final plans and trying to
decide how to pack all of our "necessary stuff" into the confines of the
Bounder to begin our "Wanderings."

This is about 1/3 of the Bounders parked at the York Fairgrounds May 6-12.
June 10 to 18 we took a trip without our motor home to visit our son in
Colorado. We drove the 2800 miles round-trip in our Ford Explorer. On
the way there we towed our 16-ft Hobie Cat sailboat which we left at a
marina on Lake Dillon in Summit County. Our son and his friends are
looking forward to some sailing adventures in the mountain reserviors.
We went along for the "maiden voyage." The scenery is certainly different
than sailing on a lake in northern Ohio or southern Michigan! We had a
great visit in Colorado and can understand why so many people will do
just about anything to live in such beautiful country.
